Did you know that 85% of dog on dog attacks, the dogs had been to a basic training class. Reactivity is on the rise because we are asking a lot more of our dogs in terms.
PuppyPRO and OH MY DOG! plans include group training, walks and workshops in the real world. Dog socials are so dogs can transition skills and develop impulse control in a variety of environments. Incorrect socialisation can lead to a reactive, anxious dog or one with limited social skills
Why a training walk and dog social?
Walks and Workshops
The dog walk is the cornerstone to any fulfilled, social and safe dog. As well as the obvious physical health benefits; the walk is essential for developing leadership, trust and bonding with your dog. If carefully considered will also meet your dogs lifestlye and breed needs. It provides a great opportunity for scent work, delivering key skills, socialisation and exposing them to different environments to build resilience and confidence.
The walks and workshops will focus on key skills;
- Reliable recall and whistle recall
- Circle of influence
- Sit, down, stay
- Off lead walking
- Heel/loose lead
- Understanding how to socialise correctly with dogs and the environments
- Reading your dogs body language.
- Managing distractions - environmental reinforcers
- Gundog basic retrieve work

Walks and Workshops are included in our training packages and our VIP membership plans.
1-2-1 Dog Walking Service for clients that want to keep continuity in the dogs walks and due to work commitments need support from a dog walker. Laura will be running the dog walking as part of the Dogtails service while she is studying for her dog training qualifications. She will have knowledge of each dogs needs and have ongoing support and guidance from me,
Dog Socials
These events are for dogs and owners to meet other Club members and to socialise with their dogs. We run Dogtails and Cockails sessions to help settle your dog and enjoy and evening out. COMING SOON - Supper clubs, adventure days and camping. A great opportunity to meet other dog parents, ask questions and just enjoy a dogs life.
Training walks – how it works
Price
1-2-1 Training Assessment Walk - £100 (non members). This includes 30 day access to the video library and entry to the group walks and workshops where appropriate.
Group walk and train - Free to those on a plan or VIP membership.
Members can book additional group sessions or 1-2-1 training as required (£15)
1-2-1 Dog Walking - block book 4 sessions (£100)
What to bring
Weather appropriate clothing for you and your dog.
A mat/blanket
Water/Food rewards - high and low value
Lead with harness/collar and tag.
A long line and a whistle
Number of dogs
A maximum of 6 dogs per walk or workshop
Different ages and levels
Introductions will be made before a walk
Respect each other’s space - dogs can be unpredictable
